Sidewalk/Rummage Sale - March 3rd
On Saturday, March 3rd from 9:00am to 1:00pm, we will be having a church rummage-sidewalk sale outside at John-Paul's Bar, on the corner of Elysian Fields Ave. and Rampart St.
YOU can help the church by donating items to this fundraiser. Since the church is low on storage space we ask that you have your items priced and ready to deliver to the sale location on the morning of March 3rd, before 9:00am. If you will not be able to bring your items to the garage sale, please speak to Pator Rick (PastorMCCNO@aol.com) about storing your items in the church office.
We will also need volunteers with setting up and breaking down the rummage sale. Please sign up to help on the back of your connection card at our next service, or email events@mccneworleans.org. All unsold items will be donated.
Lenten Wednesday Discussions
For five consecutive Wednesdays from Feb. 29 through March 28th, Pastor Rick Sosbe will be holding Lenten discussions adapted from a study written by the MCC's Moderator, Rev. Elder Nancy Wilson entitled "Finding a Grown-Up Faith: Five Steps to a Faith that Works." The five steps include (1) asking the right questions, (2) deepedning your faith, (3) Jesus and faith, (4) practicing faith/faith in action, and (5) sharing faith. Join us at the church for these "faith" discussions! Questions? Contact Pastor Rick (PastorMCCNO@aol.com).
Sunday Potluck is BACK!
Potluck refreshments will continue to be served on the first Sunday of every month. If you would like, please bring some delicious snacks and finger foods to share with everyone on the first Sunday of each month. Drinks will be provided.

We've Changed our Name!
You may have known our church as the Big Easy Metropolitan Community Church as recently as the opening days of 2012. The members of our congregation met on January 22, 2012 and voted to change the name to the Metropolitan Community Church of New Orleans, to solidify our devotion to the beautiful and dynamic city we call home. You may continue to see references to the Big Easy MCC in social media and on the websites of other organizations that link to us for a few weeks. Our web staff is working diligently to let everyone know about the change, and the process should be complete shortly. If you know of a reference to the Big Easy MCC on another website that our web staff should be aware of, please send a message to webmaster@mccneworleans.org
