Life with the Big Easy MCC

Are you a mary?

Are you like Mary?

Whole generations have been turned off seeking a relationship with God because of prejudice, bigotry, boredom and just plain bad religion. We are seeking something different, and believe that nobody should be excluded. We are rapidly growing and are mixed in every sense; gender, race and sexuality.

Our services are truly blended - treasuring elements from the many different traditions that make us up from Catholic to Pentecostal and all shades between. We cannot do what we are called to do - bring revival and growth to New Orleans - without your input and presence, so please come by and be a part of something great!

Homosexuality & the Bible

The Bible DOES NOT condemn homosexuals!... So, don't let anyone tell you it does! Here are some useful articles that explain more carefully what the abused text meant to the original audience and what they mean to us today. More...

About us...

The BIG EASY MCC New Orleans

We are a member of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community churches - a worldwide fellowship in 22 countries with 44,000 members founded by Rev Troy Perry in 1967 to proclaim God's love and redemption to those who had previously been denied a place in Christ's church. MCC has been at the forefront of transforming churches into places where all are valued and celebrated, including the LGBT community that Troy initially reached out to, and to which he belongs.

We at The Big Easy Church believe passionately that all should be celebrated and not tolerated!

Our Pastor, Rev. Clinton Crawshaw and his husband Leon moved to New Orleans from London to lead REVIVAL and REBIRTH! Come and join what God is doing here!

Want to know more...?

There is always more to know, but words and websites won't answer all the questions...sometimes, like the disciples on the road to Emmaeus, the answer is in the journey we share with each other and with Jesus.

Check out the "Our Work" section to find out more about what we do and our ministires, but to get under our skin, start with "Our Soul" where you will find things that sum up our ethos and mythos, including some of our writings and teachings, as well as some of our publications and publicity materials. But, they won't tell you everything. Come and join with us - we need what only you can bring to the mix - you!
