Garrett Ganucheau's Bio

Hi, I'm Garrett and much has happened that brought me to The Big Easy MCC. I was raised in a Catholic home like most families in the Greater New Orleans area. As a teenager I became very interested in God and grace reached me. I accepted God's grace at age seventeen, was filled with the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in other tongues shortly after, and water baptized in Jesus' name for the remission of all of my sins on my eighteenth birthday. Through my walk with God, I was heaviliy involved in the United Pentecostal Church for many years. I grew much there, then moved into the Methodist church, where God taught me about grace, mercy, and love. While I loved these churches, there were always certain groups of people that were not welcomed. This is what lead me to The Big Easy MCC. The very groups that most churches chose to exclude, Metropolitan Community Churches made it a point to include. Big Easy MCC to me means that there is a place where all are welcomed without precondition into the church and family of God. It is a place that truly embodies what Paul taught, that there is no greek, jew, male, female, and today no black, white, gay, or straight. We are all One in Christ Jesus. Amen!
