Hello, and welcome to my Biography page!
I'm Clinton Crawshaw, the Pastor of Big Easy MCC New Orleans. I joined BEMCC in 2007 coming from London UK as well as transferring credentials from the Church of England to MCC.
Since that big jump of faith for me, I have seen the hand of God blessing BEMCC each week. We've grown wonderfully - and that's not just a case of numbers growing - we've grown in love and maturity as a church, and its noticeable to all who visit and return some time later.
I am blessed and happy to have a wonderful partner, Leon, and he supports and strengthens me in my role as pastor. My role, is to strengthen and encourage others to grow and mature in Christ. In BEMCC we like to put your skills to work for the mutual benefit and upbuilding of the congregation and LGBTQ community of New Orleans. So, whether its writing the Pink Pastor column for Ambush magazine, or attending rally's, or simply being part of the audience supporting our local drag queens, you'll find me there with you sharing the easy burden Christ gives us. To live life to the full and to live love to the full.
Within the congregation, I am the principle preacher, though I encourage those with a growing call to participate in this and develop this ministry in their life. I am also involved with the various ministries, supporting all our servant leaders in their role.
An Honest Biography.
I've given you a breif summary of what I do - trust me, there is a lot more to this role than meets the eye! However, there is more to learn about me too. I've decided to put an honest biography of myself online for you to read. But, at the end of the day, nothing beats a good cup of tea and a chat. Why don't you come and check us out?
